Hi, I’m Ben, and I run Pioneer Property Services.
I set Pioneer up to offer something a little different. I’m not really a traditional maintenance man or handyman — I like to think of myself as a useful person to know.
My approach is pretty simple: turn up when I say I will, do the job properly, charge a fair price and leave your home clean and tidy when I’m finished.
From Everyday Jobs to the Unusual Ones
I’m happy taking care of all the usual jobs around your home — repairs, maintenance, decorating, plumbing fixes, flat-pack assembly, fencing, gates and general property improvements.
But I particularly enjoy the jobs that are a little more unusual — the ones where you find yourself thinking, “Who on earth do I call for that?”
That could be fitting plumbing into a campervan, installing roof bars or roof boxes, modifying something to make it work better, tackling a small building project, repairing something rather than replacing it, or simply working out a practical solution to a problem around your home.
If it’s something you need doing, just ask. If I can help, I will. And if it’s outside my skill set, I’ll be honest and tell you rather than taking on something I can’t complete to the standard I’d expect.
Small Building Projects
For projects that need a little more specialist experience, I also work closely with a talented and experienced bricklayer.
Together, we can advise on and undertake a range of smaller building projects, including garden walls, brickwork repairs, alterations and other improvements.
Even if you’re only at the “I’ve got an idea but I’m not sure how to do it” stage, give me a call. We can have a look, talk through the options and work out the most sensible way forward.
A Friendly Face Too
For me, Pioneer is about more than simply getting through a list of jobs.
If you’re elderly, live on your own, work from home or simply fancy a bit of company while I’m there, I’m always happy to stick the kettle on and have a cup of tea and a chat. There’s no rush to get me out of the door.
Having recently been through the adoption process myself, I’m also fully Enhanced DBS checked, which I hope provides a little extra reassurance when inviting me into your home.
